Anne Sanchez is a lifelong Democrat and strong advocate for women’s issues. Since moving to Monterey County in 1990, she served in a leadership position on several boards: the Monterey County Commission on the Status of Women, National Coalition Building Institute, Monterey County Film Commission, and YWCA.
Previously, Anne had an extensive career in Los Angeles County government as a Social Worker, Probation Officer, and Administrator. In Monterey County, she was a human services consultant and Regional Director for an innovative program that provided services to court-referred young people involved with alcohol and other drugs, as well as a psychology instructor at Hartnell College. Anne has a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Southern California and currently is an instructor at CSUMB’s OLLI program. Her passion is travel, reading and dancing.
