Representative Jimmy Panetta will discuss legislation and other key issues facing the U.S. Legislature at the October 20 luncheon meeting of the Democratic Women of Monterey County. The public is welcome to attend.

Congressman Jimmy Panetta serves California’s 20th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. He is a member of the House Agriculture Committee, where he advocates on behalf of growers, shippers, and farm workers. He also serves on the House Armed Services Committee and has cosponsored several bills to support veterans and their families. Congressman Panetta is involved with numerous subcommittees and caucuses to advance Central Coast issues related to Agriculture, Education, Environment, Equality and Civil Rights, Health, Immigration, and Veterans. Two caucuses particularly relevant to many women are the Pro-choice Caucus and the LGBT Equality Caucus.
