June Luncheon: When the Street Becomes Home

As of the last Homeless Census, at least 2,300 homeless people are resident in Monterey County - 50% are women. An estimated 400 women find themselves homeless on the Monterey Peninsula alone.

Our panel features representatives from the top agencies in our county who are leading efforts to address the needs of this group of women who have become marginalized in their own community, including:

Jill Allen, Executive Director, Dorothy’s Place
Tina LaPerle, Director, MCHOME Project, Interim, Inc.
Carol Greenwald, Co-founder and Board Member, Gathering for Women
Melissa Kendrick, Executive Director, Food Bank for Monterey County
