About Chris Kluwe

Chris Kluwe grew up in Southern California, attended Los Alamitos public high school, and earned a full athletic scholarship to UCLA. He is the author of several books, the lead designer of a tabletop card game, played in a rock band, and set nearly all of the Minnesota Vikings’ punting records during his eight-year NFL career. Chris is a vocal champion for LGBTQIA+ rights, has been arrested for peaceful civil disobedience, once wrestled a bear for a pot of gold, and occasionally adds humor to his bios. He is running for California’s 72nd Assembly District on a platform that includes affordable housing, fully funded public education, climate action, LGBTQ+ and civil rights, and safe A.I. regulation.
